And the Winner is...

I wanted to tell everyone thank you for all the love, compliments and well wishes on the blog's it was, Thank you!!

I also wanted to say a special thanks to those of you who identified yourselves as long-time followers of the blog, even though you didn't "follow" the blog.  It's always great to know that I'm reaching, entertaining and retaining readers with my ramblings.

No, I won't make you click through to find out who won.  That's just begging for clicks, right?  Anywho, and without further ado, the winner is...

Which I find HILARIOUS considering the vast majority of the prize box is NOT 40K.  My son kept asking me why I was laughing when he picked the name out of the hat.

KS, contact me vial email (in the profile to the left) and shoot me your acceptance, as well your address within one week of this post to claim your prize.

Keep reading folks, and I'll keep posting.  I'll be continuing the Throw Back Thursdays posts since yesterday's went so well, and I've got a lot planned for the
blog's 5th year.  I'm also happy to continue the Community Topics series, so if you have a topic request, drop it in the comments!

Thanks again everyone!

- Tim

  1. Congratulations to both of you!

KS for winning of course, and to you Tim for such an awesome giveaway.

  2. Lucky Kraut! Congrats to him indeed!

  3. Congratulations! Those are some awesome prizes you're getting!

  4. Congratulations! Those are some awesome prizes you're getting!

  5. Congratulations! Those are some awesome prizes you're getting!

  6. Congratulations, a nice selection of toys

  7. Well, I'll be...

I can easily understand your son's reaction, Tim: It was just the same for me when I read this. Even more so considering I didn't even comment on your birthday post to enter the raffle, but merely because I wanted to congratulate you...

Anyway, this is an awesome surprise, of course. It became even more awesome when I read through the post again and realised I won't have to choose one of the items but will be sent the whole shebang -- that's pretty nuts, actually...

There's one concern, though: It remains true that I am a 40k fanboy at heart, so some of this stuff will probably end up going towards 40k (or rather, INQ28) conversion projects -- I hope that's not a terrible faux pas in your opinion...

Anyway, I am still kinda stunned! But thanks for the kind words, everyone, and thanks Tim for your generosity and for writing an excellent blog. I'll get in touch with you shortly!

    1. The only folks I disqualified from winning were the ones who specifically asked not to win. Considering you didn't ask that, and I read your post a couple times to make sure, you were more than eligible :)

Oh wow, yeah, it was for everything I listed, man. Just wait til the 5-year mark and the giveaway for that!! :)

Nah, no horrible faux pas if you go and do that. Mainly because I think it'll have an effect of showing what could be possible when NOT using all 40K/Fantasy bits for a conversion. If that gets folks to broaden their horizons in purchases and the like, maybe it'll broaden their spending horizons as well and get them to dip their toes into other hobby waters. That's the main point of it.

...that, and I REALLY am now looking forward to you making me regret giving these away once I see what you do with them.

  8. Congrats! Looking forward to kraut getting those models on his blog :)
