2015 Adepticon Registration: The Good, the Great and the Surprising!

It's been nearly 24 hours after the beginning of registration for the 2015 showing of Adepticon.  I think that warrants a look-see at the improvements they've made as an event, as well as some surprises that I still have a hard time believing.

Wow… 250,000+ Views!

So my fellow blogger over at The Eternal Hunt, KrautScientist, recently posted that his blog hit over 300,000 views. If you haven't ever checked him out, clicky the link here or find him in my blog roll, as you definitely should. This man has some insane conversion, painting and hobby skills, and his constructive criticism of my own projects most definitely pushes me to do better. A hearty congratulations are in order for him in providing so much amazing content and well-written articles over such a short time.

After seeing that, I decided to check out my own views and see how things were going on behind the scenes here. All I can say is thank you…I'm amazed at what everyone has read the most of, what's generated the most interest, the searches that have brought people here…everything. I'm blown away at the number of page views that have been generated in the past three and a half years. I mean wow, over 250,000. Seriously, mind blown.

So I thought I'd share with everyone some of the posts that have not only been read the most, but also some that were from the early days that might be new to some folks!

Infinity Philosophy: It's Not Your List, It's You

After having dove in head-first into Infinity, I've sifted through the two main forums extensively, both the Official Infinity Forums and Data-Sphere's Forums, not to mention various blogs and podcasts devoted to the game. Obviously there is a wealth of information to share, including the specific sources I mention earlier, but there are a few philosophies about the game in general that appeal to me as a long-time wargamer, and make the game truly stand out among the rest.

The first of these I've cited in the headline of this article: It's Not Your List, It's You.

So why is this game philosophy so appealing, and what does it mean to you as a gamer and the wargaming community as a whole?

MayaCast Contest: 300pt Yu Jing Beginnings

So there's this Podcast run by a Mr. Schadle and a Mr. Parcel called MayaCast, perhaps you've heard of it? No? Well, go HERE, and give them a look see and a listen. If you're even remotely interested in Infinity, you'll thank me for it.

If you already know who these gentlemen are, and enjoy the game of Infinity, then you know that in Episode 7, they tossed out a contest to their listeners. The grand prize of which will be an Operation: Ice Storm box!

What…did you expect me to not try for this?
