Back from Gencon…Guess What?

Yes, the picture above is me with Jen and Alissa from The Screaming Heretic, in the WarStore/Secret Weapon Booth!!

Gencon was an amazing experience. This was my first time, and I can guarantee it will not be my last. The people I met for the first time, and the folks I got to catch up with who I don't see but a time or two a year, the city and the time away with the wife. All of it was an experience I'm counting down until the next time.

Yes, I'm aware this post is a touch late, but ah well.

So what all happened?

Tim Illustrates a New Game!

Exciting times for Tim this week, folks! I promised an update as to why I've been somewhat silent in the hobby front these past few weeks or so. Here it is!

For those of you who don't know, I do quite a bit more than work with scale miniatures. If we dial the way-back machine for 15 years ago, I graduated college with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art. If we dial it even further back, I've been drawing comics and cartoons since I was a wee lad. About 9 years ago I cartooned for Cracked Magazine, and even designed the cover for the novel "The Choosing".

Well earlier this year, I got the chance to work on an exciting new project with Iron Box Games and Jeff Bellinger, the creator of the game Killer Bunnies, called Fill in the Blank!

Holy Bits, Batman!

Here's a quick PSA for both a friend, and every hobbyist who loves their bits box.

I go to used gaming auctions a few times a year at a local shop.  You know what sells the most, and for the most money?  Gallon-sized plastic bags full of random bits.  I've spend a few hundred over the years on bags like that myself.  So imagine my reaction when my friend Alex let me know about this little auction here

4.5 POUNDS of 40K and Fantasy bits.

4.5 POUNDS!

My hands are twitching in their addictive want to get these and start going through them.  Think of the conversion potential!!

I don't typically link to eBay auctions, but this particular one is worth it to anyone who loves converting and kit bashing.  Give it a look, and maybe a bid!  If you do, I envy you as my wallet can't handle it right now.

Please Stand By...

I hate posts like this.  That why I typically never do them.

Suffice it to say that I've been fairly bogged down lately with work and then freelance work at home, restricting the majority of my time.  I've got articles planned, just the time to execute them has been lacking.  I enjoy writing about our hobby, sharing what I know, have learned, and what I can learn from everyone else.  It irks me when I am unable to post regular content.

You all have my apologies for that.

Please do stay tuned as early next week (most likely Tuesday), I'll have a HUGE announcement for everyone.  You'll also get to see one of the main reasons my time has been so packed lately.

Thanks for sticking with me folks!
