Infinity: First 3rd Edition Game!

Chronowraith (see blog here) and I got together this past week and got our first game of N3 in.  We had an absolute blast, and really loved exploring one of the new scenarios in the book, using purely N3 profiles for 200 point lists to get our feet wet.  All in all, it was a great first dive into N3.

We also have been exchanging emails about everything we got wrong!  Don't you just love new editions?

The Road to Being a Healthier Gamer: Tools, Apps and Friends, Oh My!

Okay, no, the picture above doesn't really pertain at all to becoming healthier...but it was funny, and I had to use it.

So as a quick follow-up to my last article, I wanted to share what I'm using to help keep me on track.

Just as there are tools, tricks and various things that help in our miniature endeavors, there are various tools, apps and other methods and techniques to help accomplish the goad of breaking the mold, and becoming a healthier gamer.

Breaking the Mold: The Road to Being a Healthier Gamer

The proverbial gamer stereotype, one of junk food, poor health and/or weight, and social inadequacies, exists for a reason.  We've all seen it, and many of us have been one or more of the above at one point in our lives if not currently.  I'm not saying this to demean anyone, or even to further an unwarranted stereotype.  I'm saying this as an admission of my own past and present as a gamer.  Thankfully the social awkwardness was over sometime around the early 2000's, but junk food, poor health and weight problems have all been a staple of my life for two decades now.

So why now?  Why do I have a drive to live a healthier life, what am I doing about it, and how does it even pertain to this blog?

Infinity Philosophy: It's ALWAYS Your Turn

In the last Infinity Philosophy article, we explored the "It's Not Your List, It's You" concept, and looked at how it could impact not just the individual gamer, but the community as a whole.

This time around I want to look another core philosophy of Infinity: The Game:  It's ALWAYS Your Turn.

What does this mean exactly, and why does it have repercussions beyond just the turn order itself?
